Willoughby vs. Willaby vs. Willabee
Pronounced will-uh-be. She will go by Willa. I just want a fuller name and I dislike willow. Which spelling is best? Middle name suggestions would be nice. Thanks.

I think Willa is nice on its own. I’m sorry, I just think Wiloughby/Willaby/Willabee would lead to a lot of teasing. I think Willa would be very pretty though. Best of luck and congrats

What about Willemina? I’m sorry but Willoughby sounds a little silly on a girl and Willaby/Willabee looks even sillier. I think Willa is a gorgeous name on its own. I don’t think it needs a full name but if your dead set on it I would go with what Willa is traditionally derived from: Wilhelmina or Willemina (Dutch form).

I agree with the first posters. I think Willa is quite pretty. I think Wiloughby, Willaby, or Willabee sounds really bad and unflattering. I’m sorry I just think it sounds like a name for a pet.

Willoughby reminds me of that awful guy from Sense and Sensibility (Jane Austen novel). Not a good association to have.

Willoughby reminds me far too much of a wallaby. Willa on it’s own is far better.

Sorry we don’t like Wilhelmina and willoughby is from the book sense and sensibility. He’s not necessarily a bad man. My only other Idea is Willa Beatrice and call her Willa-Bea. To me Willa is just too short. Thanks for the input

This is so cute my husband and i just found out 2 weeks ago we were having a baby... And we literally played around with willow, winona, and willa! And i specifically said we should nick name her willa-bee and call her willa, Bee or even queen Bee for short if she acted out. My husband decided to just name her willaby. Which I said the double ee would be more feminine!!! Go with your heart I absolutely love willabee it looks beautiful in cursive. And it's your baby !! My husband and i are naming our girl willabee. Because it is precious and beautiful to us. Kids are going to be kids and make fun of anyone they can because they do not know better.
