Grayse vs. Yes vs. No

Hey everyone! So yes, I know that most of you are going to tell me that Grayse is a horrible spelling of the name Grace. But the only reason we are considering it is because it was my husbands sisters name (spelled this way). She unfortunately passed away in an accident a few years back and we want to honor her. My in laws had a thing for weird spellings, their kids were Grayse, Lili, and Justyn(my dh). Thanks everyone, and no rude comments please:)

I would use it in the middle name spelled that way or if you want to use it as a first name, then I would spell it Grace. I know it’s honouring someone but it would still be the same name, just removing some of the hassles that would go along with having the odd spelling.

I would use Grace or even Gray over Grayse.

Id spell it Grace if you do use it. Sad as it is strangers will not know the meaning behind the bad spelling they will just think its trashy/chavvy.

I agree with the pp’s. Look at it like this, she is going to have to spell out her first name for everyone for the rest of her life.

If you have an easy last name like Smith, it wouldn’t be so bad.

But trust me, having to spell out your whole name every single time, sucks.

I LOVE that you are honoring a loved one but I would use Grayse as a middle name. GL!!
