Otto and Otis vs. As nicknames

I can’t decide between Otto and Otis and would like to just use one of them as a nickname because we get to know him better so we can choose the nickname the suits him best. He can also change to the other one or what ever other nicknames are in his full name. Do you think Ottavius works? Any other full names?

Otis makes me think of an overweight, toothless, moonshine-drinking, river person.

What’s wrong with Otto on its own? Definitely not for Ottavius. Maybe Othello?
