Yified vs. Names vs. ?
Hey this is a poll about names you know that have spelled with a y instead of other letters. There’s a little girl I know who spells her name kendyll and I think it’s adorable. I think it makes the name sound more feminine; what tidied names do u know? Thanks mother of Camryn and Brystol

Lyv and Aryel are nice.
The ’y’ doesn’t make the name *sound* more feminine - it makes it *look* more feminine. Brystol and Bristol sound exactly the same. If I were really concerned about how feminine a name *sounds* I wouldn’t give my daughter a unisex name to begin with. I would give her a name that *is* strictly feminine, e.g., Jennifer, Victoria.

I think misspelling names to look more feminine is very tacky and unnecessary. If your going to give your daughter a masculine name then she might as well own it and use the proper spelling. But since you asked.

The only Y-ified name I like is Camryn. And even then I still prefer Cameron.
I’m just not a big fan of adding Ys to names, IMO it makes it look silly rather than ’girly’. Sorry.

Gag... please don’t do this to your child. Everyone does it, it’s pointless, and you know how much she will be annoyed after it gets misspelled 10501982 times before she even gets into college?

Nooo!... Don’t do that, it should be a crime! It’s incredibly tacky and ugly. It’s so unnecessary to add a "y" to a name where it doesn’t need to be placed. It’s not pretty, it’s, It cool, people roll their eyes at the sight because it’s just butchering already good spelling. It’s not creative, unique, amazing, different or anything at all to out an idiotic and silly "y" in perfectly correct spelled names. This just makes me think you’re 16...
