I don’t mind Kathy, but it is a very dated name.
Maybe consider naming her Katherine and calling her Kathy. That way she has a more formal name a plethora of nicknames to fall back on if she hates Kathy.

I love the name Kathy. We chose it for our daughter (albeit she is now 17). We did make it Katherine April in full, but she’s always gone by Kathy and she loves it.

I don’t mind that it’s old and outdated, when she’s in her class full of Mackenzie’s, and Avery’s and other stupid names it will stand out as a beautiful name.

I love Kathleen which I think sounds a bit fresher than Katherine as a full name for Kathy. It seems a bit dated on its own.
