My favourite names vs. are hated

Hi guys. So we haven’t found out the gender but we have a few ideas of what we want to name our baby for each. Everyone likes our boy names so no worries there. But everyone hates our girls names. We tend to go for names with a harsh s sound. We like Alice best. Everyone hates it! What should we do?

I like Alice and I wouldn’t worry too much about what everyone else thinks. They will love the baby and love her name because it is her.

Alice is a great name and you should use it if you love it. It is a beautiful and classic name that will age well. Not everyone needs to love your daughter’s name - YOU do. Alice will not cause any problems in her life, so you are good (not extremely unusual, no huge teasing potential, no weird spelling). I find it hard to believe that everyone you’ve talked to hated the name Alice, because it’s a fairly popular name. Good luck!

I love Alice too and see nothing to dislike about it. It isn’t harsh sounding at all.
