Eva ?? vs. Eva ??

Hi everyone. We are expecting a little girl and would love to name her Eva and are pretty much set on it. I originally wanted to name her Eva Catherine after my mother but hubby doesn’t like it and said Catherine is an unattractive name. So Eva needs a middle name. I don’t think we will be using a family name now as Catherine was the only one I liked. Please suggest a middle name for Eva. Thanks.

You could use a name beginning with C to honor Catherine but that your DH would like too.

Or you can just use a name that sounds nice:

Thank you. Actually we could use Charlotte as Charles is a family name. Hubby likes Charlotte so that’s a good start!

I love Eva Madeleine, Eva Elise, Eva Ruby and Eva Grace. Hubby likes Eva Ruby and Eva Abigail.

So it looks like Eva Ruby is on the list too.

Another name we both like is Genevieve but does it sound odd with Eva? Eva Genevieve. Too many Vs?

Eva Charlotte is great as it honours family. I would use Eva Charlotte. It is beautiful and I actually prefer it to Catherine. GL!

Hi JackieLee. He says Cathleen is even worse than Catherine so I don’t think that’s a choice for us either! But thank you for the suggestion!

I feel like Catherine is a timeless classic - so not sure how it could ever be construed as unattractive. Charlotte goes great with it, though. How about Camille/a or Corinna?
