Baby Name Poll Results

I love the name Clementine! SO ADORABLE! I like Zoe but not as a middle name. It just doesn’t sound right.

I think she’s going to get sung to constantly. It sounds pretty, but that will get old really quick.

I’m not a fan of it. Not really my style. And I’m not really sure how you get the nickname Emme out of it. Plus all I think of when I hear it is mandarin oranges.

Well, I’d call her Emme most of the time, but I want her to have a full name to fall back on. Thanks for your opinions. And Jess, I do agree. I normally prefer a short first name with a longer middle, but I kinda really like this one. More opinions please. :-)

I would just name her Emme. That’s a name that can stand on its own. If you’re going to call her that, why not just name her that?

Is it okay if we post name suggestions with the nickname Emme?

I HATE IT!! I don’t understand why people think it’s a good idea to name their child after a fruit! It’s so horrible! She’ll get teased and it’s totally not a professional name! Honestly it sounds like a stripper name. If you want to call her Emme then name her Emily, Emma or just plain Emme.

Sure, if you want. Anything would be helpful. I know there’s Emily, Emma, and Emerson. Thanks.

Emmeline Zoe would be super cute!!

Actually @ Poster 7 it was a baby name before it was used on the oranges! I think she would get a lot of Oh My Darling, Clementine. Not my favorite.

I can’t help but to think of an orange, and if some of the above posters can talk negatively about it I can only image the names she will get from classmates. How about use it for a middle name?

I think Clementine is lovely, I’ve only met one and she didn’t get sung at. Although I do live in the UK.

I don’t think Clementine is anywhere close to being a stripper name. I think it’s beautiful, cheerful, actually. I’m just afraid she’ll get sung to all the time.

I think Clementine is a very lovely name. It sounds so sweet and cheerful and I think you should stick with that name :)

I don’t like it at all, only because I grew up with a Clementine and she got made fun of constantly. She ended up just going by Emmie.

It’s cute and sweet, but it’s hard for me to imagine on a person... Use it if you love it! Emme is a nice nickname she can have to fall back on if she doesn’t like Clementine, she will probably love it though.

I think Clementine is a beautiful name, but it’s a bit stuffy for a first name. I, personally, prefer it as a middle name. I know you said she would be called Emme (which I love as well), but the thing I always think about is future résumés. She wouldn’t be able to put Emme on her résumé; she would have to put Clementine. And while I love the name, I fear most future employer who saw Clementine on a résumé might immediately picture an old woman. I don’t mean to be harsh or anything, I’m just giving my two cents:) Congratulations!

Just makes me think of the fruit, its like naming a child Apple.
