Hayden vs. Haiden vs. Haedyn
Which looks girlier? I love Hayden on a girl! I am worried that people will think she is a boy though. Should I change the spelling? Or will that look trashy?
The Top Baby Name is...

You could change the spelling but I think Hayden is fine. If not Hayden, then Haidyn.

Don’t change the spelling. But she will get mistaken for a boy sometimes, that’s just part of having a name that is more common on boys.

I like Hayden and I like the original spelling. With any unisex name there is always a risk of some confusion but I bet quite a lot of people have heard of actress Hayden Panettiere.Maybe that will help more people think of it as a girl’s name.

The original spelling will keep her from having to spell it all the time or correct other people’s spellings (or just not correct them and let them spell it the original way, I know a boy with a uniquely spelled name that does this).
She will get mistaken for a boy from time to time. Hayden is traditionally male (so most older people will think boy immediately), it’s still about 100 popularity levels higher for boys than girls as of 2012 (so most people will know more male Hayden’s than female ones) and it’s part of the "rhymes with Aidan" trend which was huge a few years ago and is predominately male.
It’s your choice, of course, but if it bothers you that she’ll be mistaken for a boy perhaps you should look into other names.
