We don’t like those, sorry! While we want the nicknames to be spunky, we still want them to be appropriate, actual names that can be used all the time rather than a pet name (if that makes sense)

We like Matilda "Milly", Penelope "Poppy/Lola", and Rosalind "Rosie/Rosa"! Are there any nicknames that don’t end with EE sound? We have Lola and Rosa but are there any others? Our last name ends with Y so the EE sounds kind of awkward with it and while we think we could get over it, we’d like to see if we could find something that might flow better

All of the others we have said we liked are on our "we like but would rather not use because of them with our last name" list

READ PLEASE! (just trying to catch you’re attention)
This is a more specific description of what we want, and we hope this will help:
We want a classic name that has a short, fun, spunk nickname. But the nickname can’t be unisex or a boy name. We also really want to try to stay away from names and nicknames ending in the EE sound since the more we say them with our last name, the more we dislike them.
This is our official list:
Adelaide "Ada"
Elizabeth "Ella/Eliza"
Rosalind "Rosa"
Alessandra "Alice"
And we are looking for full names for:
"Thea" but we don’t like Cynthia or Dorothea
"Lola" but Penelope doesn’t sound good with our last name.
Hope this helped give a better idea of what we want!!

We didn’t say you weren’t helping us. We realized that we weren’t all that specific in our post so we thought we’d give a better idea of what we want. We didn’t realize it until we started saying names with our last name that we don’t like the EE sound next to it. Sorry that we don’t like something for our daughter? Besides adding the EE sound, we didn’t have much else we asked for

I wasn’t trying to be rude, I believe that you are trying to find the perfect name for your daughter, I’m just saying that it’s hard to find something not already suggested and that you haven’t said you don’t like. Can I ask an honest and innocent question? Why give her a long name if you’re planning on using a nickname?

It’s not that we didn’t like the names, we liked many of the names as we had previously commented. But the issue lied with the name and or the nickname with our last name. It’s a mixture of a few things; one being a family tradition and one being that we think it’s nice to have a longer and possibly more formal name with a shorter nickname so as our daughter grows up, she can decide what she wants to be called.
