Alayna nn Lanie vs. or just Lanie?

hey everyone! I like the name Alayna and her nickname would be Lanie, but I also just like the name Lanie. My husband doesn’t like either but I get to choose since he named our son. (Aidan William-4) What do you think?

I would go with Alaina with the nn Lanie. Or just go with Layne. I think Lanie is cute, but with a more complete less nicknamey name she will have the choice to go by whatever she wants which might be nice if she needs to put something on a business card as an adult or wants to shed what she might think is a little girl name. I think its nice because the nickname options are still there but there is a chance that the name will age well still.

i would say just Lanie because of the spelling of Alayna. Elena nn Laney would be nice.
