Edie prn. like Ee-Dee? vs. Yes vs. No
I keep seeing the name Edie for a girl. Is it pronounced like the boys name Eddie or is it like Ee-Dee? I’m just a little confused about the pronunciation. I really like the Ee-Dee pronunciation and I’m expecting twin girls who I was planning on naming Evelyn and Meredith and I’ve seen Edie used as a nickname for Meredith so I just want the pronunciation to figure it all out. I’m used to Meredith being a boys name. Evelyn & Edith would be perfection! Especially if you used the nicknames Evie & Edie!

Meredith is such a pretty name, and Edie (prn "ee-dee") is a great nickname! Evelyn and Meredith are perfect.
