The only problem with the original spelling is that if people aren't familiar with the name they are likely to pronounce it eff-ray-m, instead of eff-rum (which is how i would want it pronounced). sometimes people change spellings to reduce confusion and mispronunciation, not cause they want their little snowflake to be younik.
