Maxwell vs. Maximus vs. Maximilian

Hi, two questions... We love the name Max, but are wondering about the full name. I really don’t lik Maximilian but my wife likes it. I like Maximo but she doesn’t. Also our dog that we loved dearly was named Max and will people think its weird we name our son Max?
