east coast vs. pronunciation
Hello. Giving Mara as name for my soon to be born daughter. Still discussing with dh if it will be her fn or middle. We’re just curious how people on the EAST COAST pronounce it. Do you pronounce it mare-uh or mar-uh. I know west coast pronounce it Mar-uh. Now, we would like to know how the majority of EAST COAST residents pronounce it. Thank you.

I’ve lived in Maryland almost my whole life. My hubby and I moved to Pennsylvania about a yr ago and we would say Mar-uh. I have never heard it pronounced any other way.
