McKenna vs. Mckenna

I am going to have a baby girl soon, the father is not going to be a part of our lives and so I am naming the baby myself. McKenna is going to be her first name honoring a request from my grandmother (it was her maiden name). The original spelling was McKenna but I’m not sure if I should use mckenna since most of the time people don’t remember to capitalize a letter in the middle of a first name. Thoughts. Thank you. P.s. we do not what the spelling makenna as it would really no longer be a family name. Thanks again.

I think Kenna is better than McKenna. But if you want to use that spelling specifically I think you should keep the capitalization. Yes there are going to be times when it will get spelled with a lower case "k" (like in this poll) but just ignore it and spell it the proper way when you can.

Thank you. Kenna will be her nickname (friend has been referring to her as such for weeks, he gives everyone a nickname. :) McKenna is just for family reasons. Thanks for you feedback.
