Marguerite vs. Yes vs. No

My husband really likes the name Margaret. I am not really that fond of it. He suggested Marguerite and I’m really liking it! But I want some options. Do you like it? Or is it too out there/dated? Do you think it’s too close to margarita? Thank you ~Jennifer

Margaret is absolute beautiful! I don’t think it’s out-dated. Marguerite is a little bit old-fashioned. It’s not quite as lovely as Margaret, but it’s still nice. Maggie and Maisie are great nicknames for both. I’ve also seen Meg as a nickname for Margaret.

I think both Margaret and Marguerite are both beautiful names. I don’t find either name too dated or out there and I don’t think of margaritas when thinking of the name.

Prefer Marguerite or Margot over Margaret. They are more posh than old fashioned. GL

Marguerite is gorgeous and underused. I don’t think it is too out there or dated at all.
