Annabelle vs. Too Southern?

My husband likes the name Annabelle. Does it sound too southern? For some reason I picture a cow when I see that name. Am I crazy?

Why do people always think of cows when they see this name? Is it a reference from some book or movie? Anyway, I think Annabelle is a very lovely name! GL!

I love the name Annabelle. I think its a sweet name. I don’t think its too southern or sounds like a cow name at all.

Yeah, I think of a cow. I think it’s just kind of a name used for cows in movies/tv shows, etc. Like Bluebell.

I personally prefer Anna or Belle over Annabelle, because I think it sounds stereotypically southern. Most people in the south aren’t named things like Annabelle or Cash, but people think they are.

However, it is a pretty name. It sounds to me like you are less sold on it than your husband. Annabella maybe?
