Valerie vs. Valorie

Which spelling and why? I am thinking Valorie because valor means great courage or bravery.

I like Valerie because it’s the "real" name, but I LOVE the Valor part in Valorie. I really like Valor for a boy’s name, btw. Plus if you use Valorie, you could use Lori as a nn, if you wanted.

Valerie. It means ’Strong, Valiant’ or ’Strong, Healthy’ and i would imagine most people will spell it that way initially and the other way she’ll have to correct the spelling a lot.

It looks better as Valerie. And this doesn’t have to do with this, but I have an aunt named Valerie.

Valerie already means "healthy, strong." Your child would spend her lifetime correcting the spelling of her name. I also agree that Valerie looks nicer. Valerie is a very nice name.

Personally, i like valorie more, but valerie is the og so yeaaa i cant choose :'D

I am named Valerie, but have called Lori since birth. I cannot recommend this combination as it has caused me problems my whole life.
