Rhys vs. full name?
Hey everyone! I’m in love with the name Rhys for our boy and for once, it actually flows with our surname. However, there are language barriers, which it making it very difficult. I thought maybe, then, we could use it as a nickname for something else. Do you have any suggestions? Anything all, it can be the biggest stretch (we’re all for unusual and ’nonsense’ nicknames). The only name I have in mind is River, but hubby doesn’t like the idea of word names so much. Please help? And thank you!

The only name I can think of is Reed/Reid or to use a double barrel name. (Jon-Rhys, Griffin-Rhys)

I love Rhys and I’m sorry I can’t help with a full name, because I can’t think of any, but what about and anguished spelling if you’re worried? Reese or Reece

Rhys is a full name. And a very handsome one, imo. I really like River, too, but I don’t see how you’d get Rhys out of it.
I agree that making it a double name would be your best bet if you want a longer name.

Patrice? Depends on where you are, though. I think in the US it’s mostly used on girls. But it is also a French boys’ name.
