Everett vs. for a girl?

Any ideas on a really girlie middle name for Everett to make it more feminine...I like semi-masculine names with a girlie middle name for some reason.

I’m not too crazy about it, but I do like the sound of Everett Angela. What do you think?

I honestly don’t like it. I know people like unisex names or as you say semi-masculine, but this is a completely masculine name to me. I have never heard it on a girl and I really don’t want to. If you want a masculine name, go with something used for girls more likeMorgan or Mackenzie. There are many. I like Ever and Everly though.

I agree w/pp. this name is not semi masculine to me, it’s All masculine. Emerson, Ellis, and Emory seem all better than Everett.

No, I don’t like it for a girl at all. I think Everett is a great, very handsome name - for a boy/man.

I think Everly, Emerson, Ellery, Avery are good options that are similar but could work on a girl. And Evelyn is a gorgeous girl’s name that is similar.

My maiden name is Everett and I’m also the last of my genealogy. My husband is a Jr. So, we have decided that if it is a boy to carry on my husband’s name in honor of his father and if it is a girl to name her Everett to carry on my lineage, which is very special to me. In the South, it is a tradition to give girls the maiden name of the mother as either a first or middle name. Double names are also a tradition. I much prefer my girl having a traditional boy’s name so she is not discriminated against based on the name of her resume. She will be more likely to be called in for an interview, etc. when it is time for her to make her own way in this world.

I love it! In fact we chose Everett as a boy’s name and cannot come up with a girl’s name we agree on. We are actually toying with Everett even if it IS a girl! What a cool tradition :)

I say you should name your daughter whatever you like. Think about how it will affect her socially, of course, but pay no mind to the opinions of others, especially if they cannot even fathom the idea of the name you love - whether it would be their first choice or not.

She didn’t ask if you liked the name, she asked for ideas for a middle name. It sounds like she has already chosen the name Everett so suggesting another first name that YOU prefer is just rude in my opinion.
