Bowen’s vs. Nickname

We love the names Bowen and Beau. We do not like the spelling Bo at all! We feel it looks immature. Beau is a full true name. So my question is, can we name our son Bowen, but use Beau as his nickname? Or are we stick with Bo? Would it be a hassle to make sure he went by Beau? We may just change the name all together.

Use as verbal nn then it doent matter. Bowen nn Bo/Beau is cute. But if you want to ensure he is called Beau by everyone just name him that.

Bow? I don’t see why you couldn’t use Beau written down, but you will have to be prepared for school friends etc writing Bo because it’s the most logical spelling of the nn.
Also, he might like Bo.
