Katerina vs. Ekaterina

My friend is having a baby and she couldn’t decide which spelling of name is better.i know it’s same name but difference is first E. She thinks of Ekaterina because it’s popular name in our country(Georgia),but in my humble opinion Katerina is better. So what do you think?which one is better and also suggest any good names we would be glad to listen to your opinion
