Augustin Clark vs. Leonidas Alfred vs. Osias Rhydian/Maverick

Our boys’ poll. Girls’ is next. We have a daughter named Araminta who we lovingly call Amity. We are expecting twins, genders unknown thus far as we are really early on, so we would really like opinions on all 3 names. Augustin (prn August-in) is my favorite, Leonidas is my husband’s, and we both love Osias but can’t agree on a middle name as we each prefer one over the other. Help? Thank you~ Cat

I don’t like Osias at all. I would go with Augustin and Leonidas if they are boy boy twins and Augustin if only one is a boy.

Augustus Clark
Clark Agustus

I find August-in sounds feminine (too similar to Augustine).
I don’t like the "[removed]" sound in Leonidas and Osias.

Thanks for all the input Ladies, it really is so helpful to get outside opinions.
Seems Leonidas Alfred is a favorite as well as Augustin. As for the *[removed]ound we are pronouncing them closer to iss, Augustus was our first choice but couldn’t shake the Augustus Gloop association. We chose Augustin after the Saint Augustine who was male. To us, it is like a mixture of August and Justin. Does really scream female??

I don’t even know who Augustus Gloo[removed]o I wouldn’t worry about that. But Augustin is fine, too.

Re-worded - I’ve never heard of Augustus Gloop. So I wouldn’t worry about that.

Augustus Gloop was the fat kid that ate too much chocolate in Willy Wonka or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I like the name Augustus and I didn’t associate it with the movie at all. If you love it, use it.

No one is going to think Augustus = Willy Wonka. The book is old, the movie was a bomb. When I think Augustus, I think dignified.

Augustin is fine, i don’t think it sounds feminine at all just a little OTT, same with Augustus, i prefer just August. Leonidas has been a guilty pleasure of mine for a while, i like that it’s unique but it can be shortened to Leon or Leo to make it easier to pronounce and spell and for him to go by something people will find a little less "odd". Osias is okay, but it doesn’t excite me. my fave of these three is definitely Leonidas, and of your two middle names for Osias i prefer Maverick. how about
