I don’t think it’s too close, especially since you’re the mom. Besides, they have difference ending sounds (Alice is "ss" while Alicia is "sh").

First off, I LOVE your name, Alicia. I’ve always found it especially pretty.

Second, I also really like Alice. It has a soft, gentle beauty. I don’t think they are too close either, especially for mother and daughter.

Alice is gorgeous and I don’t think Alicia and Alice are too close for a mother and daughter. Really the only similarity in terms of sound is the -al at the beginning.
