Aragon/Eragon (Air-ah-gone) vs. Boy or girl name?

I found this name that’s really unusual and I kind of like it, to be honest, but I’m unsure whether it’s mean’t for a male or a female? Does anyone know?

I’m not sure but I think it’s Aragon for a girl, and Eragon for a boy. It’s a unisex name.

It’s male. Eragon is the main (male) character in The Inheritance Cycle. They’ve made a movie of the first book "Eragon".

Aragon is a place in Spain. It’s also very similar to Aragorn, the character in The Lord of the Rings. Aragorn turns out to be a king in the books.

So basicly I’d be naming my child after a male character in a book or a place in Spain? Uhhh, not so sure how I feel about it now.

considering Eragon is a boy in the popular series/Books I don’t think you can use it on a girl at all.

Yeah, I agree. I don’t like this name anymore. I’d rather not name my child after someone in a series/book, male or female. It’s like using Katniss, or Ron or someone like that from another popular series. No thank you.

Good choice to not use the name. Some people would be selfish and use it anyway and not consider the effect on the child. GL!

It sounds like something from Lord of the Rings so I would assume it’s for a boy. It’s a little too strange for my taste.

Aragon is a really nice name i picked it out for a girl character in a book im writing. the character is a princes, at first i must admit it sounded like a boys name but i became accustom to it and i, along with many enjoy the beautiful name.
