If you want to name her after Iggy Azalea - she gave herself the name after her pet dog called Iggy. It’s a dogs name, not a human name.

Iggy is normally used as a nickname for the male Ignatius/Ignacio, so maybe the feminine Ignacia? I can also see it working for Brigitte/Brigitta.

Also, Iggy is not a dog name, it’s just a name that’s also used on dogs, just like Sadie, Penny, Gracie, etc. No worries.

As long as Iggy won’t be her full name, I wouldn’t worry about people considering it a pet name. Hm...

Actually, Iggy Azalea named her dog after a human, musician Iggy Pop.

Ingrid and Imogen were the first ones that came to mind.

Five years hence, it is probably too late for this to be helpful, but Iggy is absolutely not "a dog's name." To say "Iggy is a dog's name" because Iggy Azalea had a dog named Iggy is like saying "Max is a pig's name" because George Clooney had a pig named Max. Iggy is a human name -- one which actually stands as a name unto itself for both boys and girls, but can be considered an abbreviation of either Ignatius or Ignacia -- and it definitely precedes the birth of Iggy Azalea's dog (and the dog, in fact, was named after Iggy Pop). It may be too late for this to change what you name your daughter, but if you do happen to read it, and if that poster actually successfully dissuaded you from using a name you love, I hope it will at least serve as a helpful reminder not to rely too heavily on the input of strangers online (case in point, I don't actually know for sure that her dog was named after Iggy Pop... but I could probably Google it and be back with an answer faster than it took me to write this paranthetical)
