What do you mean by family? If you mean your partner then I would suggest you start over and find a name you both love. Compromise isn’t that difficult if you would try it.

Ellie is super cute. Sure Eiley might seem fun and unusual but you are setting your poor child up for people misspelling and mispronouncing her name her whole life.

Personally I dislike Ellie too, so if you don’t like it don’t use it.

If you and your partner both like Eiley then go for it, but its only you that likes it then you may need to look for another name.
Extended families opinion doesn’t really matter I don’t think

It’s the extended fam that doesn’t like it. I still like Eiley better! Lol It’s so hard to please everyone.

this is the poll poster’s son.. i’m the one that dislikes eiley. everyone in the family loves the name ellie except her. ellie flows very well and it’s cute. eiley sounds weird and you shouldn’t name a baby something uncommon just for the sake of it being uncommon
