I have a 10 year old son named Aidan (pre-Sex In The City) and was surprised by the popularity of this name a few years after I’d used it. My son LOVES that there are SO MANY Aidans and honestly, if I had to do it all over again today, I would still use the name despite its popularity. A great name is a GREAT NAME. I hear it at the store, at the park, just about anywhere and I smile every time I hear it. Though I think you should go with the name you love I know you’re looking for a name to rival Aidan. My suggestion is Keiran...Another beautiful yet strong name, and I haven’t heard it very often. Liam is also nice. It was popular when I had my Aidan but seems to have lessened in popularity.
