Is Santiago too "Spanish" to go with Toby? Is it too much of a contrast to have a more American name like Toby and a Spanish middle name like Santiago go together? Or should we just go with the names we like? Last name is Reyes. Thank you.

It’s fine, and yes it is an important thing. Our family and friends have been telling us that it seems weird to have a "white" first name with the rest being in Spanish. We wanted to get outside opinions.

I think that it is absolutely fine to use. I don’t think its weird, especially if you’re using the Spanish name because u r um... I’m not familiar with races to much. Sorry, I must sound stupid and rude.
Anyways, I don’t mean harm, but I think that u should use the name if u like it. I think that it sounds nice.

He’ll not be going by his full name all the time though will he? He’ll just be Toby day to day. No1 will know! So it’s not that weird. Ignore them. He’s your son.

Sure they don’t completely match, but I don’t really think its the end of the world

Toby is super cute. I don’t like Santiago, too exotic for me, but I don’t think the contrast is too terrible with Toby.
