Carrie is definitely pronounced Kerry so I would spell it differently.

I vote no cause the name will forever get mispronounced all the time. She will hate it. Parents who knew how to spell, but, didn’t quite have it in the speech area is what it will seem like when she is daily, and forever telling people, ’no, that isn’t my name, its Ka-ree, not Kare-ee! My name is Carolyn. Simple, right? I get called Caroline. All. the. time. Pronounce it right, or find a different name. Seriously.

Yeah, if a very distinguishable name is getting pronounced, Carrie, which is most definitely Care-ee, will get pronounced. Also, I have a really bad feeling that even Caree, Karee, or any other kre8iv spelling you come up with will just get pronounced as Carrie anyway. They will just think its Carrie with kre8iv spelling! Marie rhymes with Ka-ree. I say, go with that, or something that would automatically be recognized as rhyming with Marie. GL.

^^^^whoops, should say that Care-ee will get mispronounced, not pronounced. My bad.

Cari and Caari were how the girls in my high school’s names were spelled to get that pronunciation.

The girl I know spells it Kari.

This is my mother’s name and it’s definitely pronounced like Care-ee. This is the exact reason my mother has always disliked her name, because no one can spell it and no one can pronounce it properly, especially when you have people making up pronunciations for traditional names.

Carina nn Cari or Karina nn Kari would be very nice. Cari/Kari (that spelling) is more likely to be pronounced as you want it to be.
