sorry but i really can’t understand why should my baby be teased if her name is Gertie?

Kids can be really mean. And If you think about Gertie could be called Gert, which rhymes with dirt so she could be called Gert the dirt...

Cause Gertie is what people call there old bomby cars. Gertie the gurgler??? But Im just saying what I think, there have been names I have liked and put on polls and then realised from comments that maybe the name wasnt that great after all. I mean at the end of the day you will name your child what you want.

my grandma’s name was Dovie and I sure wouldn’t name my daughter that and my other grandma’s name was Miley & I know both those names would cause teasing!

To the prev comment I love the name Miley by the way lol specially with the whole Hannah Montana thing. We thought about Miley.

Make it a beautiful and more updated middle name, as she may well go by it in the future.

I want to name my daughter Gertrude as well!! I find it SOOO RUDE people have the nerve to ask you to rethink. Who cares what other kids think!! Teach your child that she is loved and brave and smart and that her name was given with pride because she can embrace it regardless of what others think!!!
