Manon vs. ?
My husband and I love the name Manon for our first son!!! But, we are having a problem finding a middle name for Manon. Our family tells us that Manon is typically for a girl but we are still persistent on naming our son Manon. Please help to prove our family wrong. Thanks , He will be joining his big sister Lily.!

I’ve actually never heard of the name. IMO it could totally work on a boy. You might want a three syllable middle name.... like Manon Alexander. GL!

I’m sorry, but it really is ONLY a girl’s name. It’s pronounced mah-nohn, or almost like mah-NOH, with the "n" at the end almost silent. If I were you, I would brainstorm a list of names that sound similar to Manon if you like the sound, but I would definitely avoid using Manon itself.

It’s a girl name. I agree with the pronunciation above. I dunno, are you pronouncing it MAN-in or something like that? Either way, it’s not a male name.

I like the name Manon, pronounced like canon. Manon Thomas, Manon James, Manon Alexander, Manon Elijah are cute. I think you should have a classic, traditional, masculine middle name.

Definitely not! I can understand boy names being used on girls to an extent, but NOT girl names for a boy. I would try to find a name that has a similar "feel" to it, but not Manon.
