Decklyn vs. Declan

Which spelling do you like best? I prefer Decklyn but my husband likes Declan. Our son is due in a few weeks and we can’t decide, also we need middle name ideas!! Declan is great your spelling looks ridiculous and made up sorry - also really girly looking.

Decklyn will always be spelt Declan and Decklyn looks like a trendy spelling for a girl. It looks soooo bad and will be problematic for his whole life.

I love Decklyn! I have always loved this name, but hate the spelling. I have been considering Decklin, but Decklyn is a very nice way to spell it. Tonight, YOU helped ME!
So... On to you. I LOVE Decklyn and think that you should use it!

Declan is very handsome but I really dislike Decklyn. I agree that it looks tacky and like someone’s tried to make a boy name look feminine.

If I saw Decklyn, I would assume that it was a girl, due to the creative spelling. While I don’t like the name, I would definitely go with the traditional spelling Declan.
