Pick an awesome first name and use Barbara/Barb/Bobbie as the middle name. Just say it’s a family name and no one will question how fashionable it is. It actually sounds classy paired with the right name.

Barbara might sound dated, but what goes around comes around. For example, Grace was one of the most popular names 100+ years ago and for a long time, nobody named their daughters Grace. It’s now one of the most popular names. But if you like Barbara, use it. People will be able to spell and pronounce it, and that’ll be a plus.
