Liberty nickname vs. Options? vs. (Besides Libby)

I love the name Liberty for a girl, but I’m afraid she’ll get stuck with the awful nickname Libby. What other nicknames would work for Liberty? (I’m not choosing another name, sorry) if there isn’t any, let me know.

Maybe Betty. But I don’t think there are any obvious ones. If you truly hate Libby you might reconsider b/c if she likes it when she is older there isn’t a lot you can do about it. Then you would hear it all the time.

Libby is better than Berty which is the other obvious choice. I’m 99% sure if you go with Liberty, Libby will be the unavoidable name once she hits grade school. Maybe not what you wanted to hear but I think it’s the truth.

I like poster 6’s idea. I know a wonderful girl who goes by LK (first and middle anitial) and a boy AJ (first and last). GOOD LUCK!!!

Bertie, but I don’t really like that any better than Libby. Do you have to use a nn? Liberty in full is just fine.

A nickname is less likely to stick if you just call her Liberty.
