Evie vs. Evelyn vs. Evangeline
My partner and I will be naming our little girl Evie. We both love the name but I am wondering if we shoukd give her a extended first name and nickname her Evie I am just not sure if she will be happy called just Evie think maybe we should give her the option to use Evelyn (for example) instead of Evie. Suggestions are welcome for names with nickname Evie. My partner hates the idea and wants just Evie.

I love Evelyn and Evie, but I also am a fan of " nicknames" as names --- so short, simple and pretty. If you and your partner both love Evie I say just go with it.

Evie is beautiful and definitely can stand on its own, it has been used as a name by itself for a while now. I love it and I don’t think it sound babyish.

Evie is a pretty name which lots of charm imo. I prefer it over Evelyn and Evangeline.

Evangeline is best you can also use Evie as a nickname if you wanted.

Eve is fine, just don’t have her full name be Evie.
Evie is fine as a full name. I love it. It’s sweet. You should use it if both you and your husband love it and will be calling her it majority of the time.
