An ex boyfriend of mine (the only way I have ever seen it spelled) spelled it Leighton. I like that spelling personally. Good luck! James is a great middle name!

I love Layton James! Don’t change it. I also love the spelling Layton, it’s more masculine IMO. GL

Are you sure he won’t be teased for being "late to the feast"?

Ignore poster 5. She is obviously not familiar with the name. I highly doubt he’ll be teased. It’s a great name, go for it!

Thanks everyone! I prefer either Leyton or Layton because although I like the spelling, Leigh is more feminine.

This is poster #5. You are right, I am not familiar with the name Leighton. So, being new to it and trying to pronounce it with the OP’s last name, Feaster, I was just curious. I think Leighton is a good name. I just thought it was worth a mention in this case about possible risks. I think it’s a parent’s job to try to anticipate and prevent teasing. And it sound’s like the OP is happy, so I’m happy.
