Daniel vs. Dante vs. Dane

I also love Dale. All three names are after a man in my life: Daniel is after my brother Daniel (Dan), Dante is my friend DJ’s first name, and Dane is after my friend Dane Zachary who goes by Daz. Dale is just a name I love, but I obviously cannot use both Dane and Dale. My sister-in-law suggested using Daniel with either Dane or Dale as a nickname and saving Dante for a future son (although she suggested changing the spelling to Donte to may it a little different from Daniel/Dane/Dale). Opinions?

I like your SIL’s idea. Go with Daniel nn Dane or Dale (I like both!) and save Dante for the future.
