Arlet ??? vs. Arlet *no middle*

What is the point of middle names? Should I give my baby girl, Arlet, a middle name? Arlet is said like are-let (like the end of Nicolette), NOT are-lit (like the Scarlett). But I don’t hve a middle name and most of the people I know dot have middle names, so I was wondering if middle names are even worth it? Any suggestions? It needs to sound good in Spanish and I want it to be uncommon like Arlet is. -Lupe

My aunt was adamant about giving her daughter a middle name to fall back on. My aunt goes by her middle name since she hates her first name. Arlet is very pretty! I would spell it Arlette to get the pronunciation you want and make it look more feminine.

I don’t think middle names are necessary for a girl and I agree with poster 2 that Arlette would be a better spelling. It looks more feminine to me as well.

Yeah I’m not sure if I want to go with the spelling Arlette. Frances is not for me. It sounds like a ninety year old’s name. Lol
