You basically know the nicknames. Not all names need a nickname and not all children want a nickname.

Ruth is one syllable. It doesn’t need a nickname. You could go with Ruthie when she is little, but that’s about it. Rue is the same length as Ruth, so I think it’s a little redundant.
I know a little three year old named Ruth who gets called Ruthie about half the time and I think it’s pretty cute. People always joked about the candy (Baby Ruth) when she was a baby though.
Some people just hate their names. Whether they are called Emma, Toquisha, or Liliana. Other love their names. It’s not something you can plan out. My name doesn’t have any nickname possibilities and I still like it a lot.
If you love the name Ruth, go for it.

A nickname doesn’t have to come from the name, you should wait until she’s born and slowly one will develop. For my example my daughter’s name is Lily, but we all call her Dee.
The only other nickname I can think of for Ruth is Rye.

Ruth.... Arie? Like R E? Whats her mn? As the above poster said something usually comes later on, my daughter is Zoe, yet we call her Poppy. Dont even know how it came about

Nicknames don’t always come from the actual name.

We named our kids Susannah, Rodney, Franklin and Colleen.
Their nicknames are Annie, Roddy, Junior, and Coco.

My name is Christina and I’ve been called Twiggy most of my life cause I’m so thin.

Just let it happen, you may be stressing about it too much.

I think Ruth is a beautiful name on its own!
