Idalia ???? vs. something else ????

We’re considering using Idalia if we have a girl. We like that’s it’s uncommon and feminine. We’re just worried that it might be a bit TOO uncommon. Do you think it’s too strange? Is it pretty? Also, what would sound good as a middle name with it?

It is ok, but it says onion to me. We’re from Georgia and my husband’s family is from Vidalia, where the onions come from.
I like unique but I would go a little more toward the known side.

I agree with the onion comment :( Sorry. Also, I wonder if it’s so unusual that she would be forced to repeat and spell it all the time?? I love Dahlia, and it sounds similar.

It’s not a bad name but it reminds of vadalia onions to.
