Rylan for a boy? vs. Rylan for a girl ?
My husband and I found out the other day that we are having a baby boy. I really like the name Rylan but I have had people tell me it sounds girly, so what do you think is it more of a boy or girl name?? and if more girly we are up to any other unique boy names. Just not to funky lol thanks Amy & Ricky

If it ends in "n" it’s generally a boys name.

I like Rylan for a boy and girl. I think it sounds girly because it’s soft and ends in the Lynn sound, which is extremely popular for girls right now.
I would say a boy’s name, however it I were to use it as a girl’s name I would change the spelling to something like Rylynn something different. But my vote is BOY NAME!! and plus I think it’s a really cute name and different too. Good luck :)

I think it can most defnitely go for both without sounding too feminine or too masculine.

My honest opinion of Rylan: It’s incredibly trendy and overused, as are all the names that rhyme with it (Jaylan, Braylen, etc.) It’s a new takeoff on the "den" names (Aiden, Braden, Caden, etc) and all their spelling variations. I personally think the name looks like Ryan with a typographical error.

Rylan isn’t said with a Lynn sound so that point is not applicable it’s ry-lan. it’s 201 in boy charts American charts And very rare on girls in any spelling.

My sons name is Rylan. Pronounced Ry-lan. It's not a trendy name. Trendy means lots of boys out there are named Rylan which isn't true at all. Names like "Jackson" and "Aiden" are far more trendier than "Rylan"
