Blair vs. Girl vs. Boy

I want to name my daughter Blair, but somebody told me that it is only a boys name. I know that it’s unisex, but I think it’s very cute for a girl. What do you think?

I think Blaire is much more feminine then Blake or most other unisex names.
Blaire is very cute. Always makes me think of the old show Facts of Life.

I love the name! I have not met a boy with this name and it’s so much more fitting for a girl. My friend’s middle name is Blair and she loves it just as much as I do. Princess Blair is a character in one of my favorite movies. And my AVID (college prep class) teacher’s name is Blaire. But I prefer the spelled Blair. Good luck!

Blair is such a girls name! have you heard off gossip girl? the main character’s name is blair. i know a lot of blair girls, but no guy blairs.

Blair is so a girls name, my cousin told me about one of her friends named Blair, and I automatically assumed it was a girl until she mentioned it was a boy.

Blair is the name of the Queen Bee on the show Gossip Girl and I see it as a definate girly-ish name.

I have a male cousin (in his 20s) named Blair, but I think it is just fine for a girl - in fact I think more girl than boy when I hear it. Like a PP said, it makes me think of Blair from the Facts of Life. I think it’s a great name.

I’ve only known one person named Blair, and it was a girl! I like it much better for a girl’s name...go for it!!!
