Brennen vs. Brennan

We like the name Brennan (this spelling) for a boy but have heard that this is now a girl’s name too? Let me know your thoughts. If it is for girls now, we’d probably pick a different name. Also, please vote on the spelling-which one would you use?

Personally, knowing that it can also be used as a girl’s name, the a makes it a bit more feminine, so I would go with the e at the end for a boy.

I don’t know how many girls would actually get this name but parents are using almost anything for a girls and it does have the nn potential of Bryn/Bren or Ann.

I’ve never heard it on an actual girl. but I know the TV show bones the Main Female Character is called Brennen a lot because it’s her last name. I’d still use it for a boy.

I wouldn’t use the an ending because we’ll it’s an.lol like Anne. Look femand for a boy it should be said bren en. If you use bren an thats how everyone will day it.

I’ve never actually heard of or met a girl names Brennan, but I have always thought that sounded really girly. I don’t care for it on a boy. However, if you do use it, I like the spelling Brennon the best. It looks the most masculine, but I would go with Brennen, of your choices.
