Jac vs. Jak
We like common names spelled a little differently. We have 2 boys Tod (4) and Mic (2). They are pronounced like Todd and Mike. The baby will be pronounced like Jack but spelled Jac or Jak. Which spelling is better? We do not want the traditional spelling. thanks
The Top Baby Name is...
Jac

No I like Jaq though. Jax is nice but I prefer a traditional name with a unique spelling. I really want to call him Jack but just spell it different...I know it doesn’t make since to most but thats what I want. I will also consider Jaq thank you.

You’re welcome. :) I like it too. Jack is also my grandfather’s nickname (his name is Dorence, bleh) and my nephew’s middle name so I definitely like the name.

Well think about how you pronounced ax. Just add a J and you have Jax! I see them as two different names.

I agree that I would pronounce Jax like "jacks". When I see "Jak" I think of the PS2 game series "Jak and Daxter". Oh and when I saw your son Mic’s name I was thinking "Mick", not "Mike". ^_^

i like Jak best i think it looks more masculine spelled with the k than the c, Jaq is okay but people will probably pronounce it as a q instead of a k/c, Jax is pronounced like jacks, because its a short from of Jaxon/Jaxen an alternate spelling of Jackson
