Jax’s Baby Sister vs. Needs A Name!

We have 6 year old son named Jax Mason, and I am pregnant with a baby girl. We made a poll a few days ago and Lila won. But we are thinking that we like Della more as it is after my grandmother, who was Ardella Marie. But everyone told us that Della is a different style from Jax and that they didn’t go well together. What do you think? We aren’t big fans of Lila anymore. Other suggestions are welcome, for both first and middle names please! Also we would like opinions on Jax and Della as a sibling pair. Thanks! ~Julia

I think Della is pretty!! Lila isn’t my favorite but its alright. Here are other suggestions:

I think that although they are different styles, they go together quite well! If you are looking for something a little different but still honors your grandmother, you could go with Delia! Jax and Delia are also cute!

It doesn’t matter one bit if siblings’ names "go together" or not! I think Della is lovely. If anyone tells you that again, ask them why it matters if siblings’ names are similar styles. I promise you, they won’t have an answer! And even if it did matter for some reason, I think Jax and Della are totally similar styles. Both are unique, but not too out there. Plus, that name has meaning to you, and it’s your baby, not theirs.

We like the suggestions of Blair(e), Chloe and Alan(n)a. I’m not a huge fan of Delia, mainly because it is so close to my name, Julia. It actually matters quite a bit to us whether or not our children’s names go together. We don’t want to be here, there, and everywhere with the styles of our children’s names. As for middle names for Della, we like Della Avalon and Della Natalie. We also like the names Jane, Kelise, And Violet! Thanks! ~Julia

That’s also another problem. We don’t entirely love Della. But we like that it is after my grandmother. Jax was named after my husband’s brother, Mason James. We thought about maybe naming this girl after a woman in my family. At the moment we are also considering using Ardella as her middle name. We do like Della Corinne, Della Wren, Della Bryony amd Della Cerie. Thanks! ~Julia
