Names similar vs. to the name vs. Chandler

I am looking to help my sister name her baby girl. My sister’s name is Chandler and she has always loved her name and wanted to use a name in a similar style for her daughter. Her and her husband have Milo as a front runner for their daughter but they want to add other names to their list just in case they don’t use it. Any suggestions?

Milo? For a girl? Personally, I think that naming a girl with a boy’s name or "unisex" name sends the message that (1) you wanted a boy and/or (2) that there is something wrong with being female. Giving a girl a feminine/female name says that you value having a little girl and aren’t afraid to give her a name that tells the world unambiguously that she is female. That’s just my opinion, but perhaps it will be food for thought.

What about Hester (which is actually a girl’s name)?
