Aria vs. Charlotte vs. Mia

Aria, Charlotte and Mia are our final favourites and we are struggling to pick. We like Aria because it’s pretty, unique and very original, Charlotte because it is elegant, classic and beautiful, and Mia for it’s girliness, simplicity and sweetness. Which? And we would LOVE to know why. Also, middle name suggestions are begged for so please comment. Thank you so much! Lou. P.S the spelling of Aria is not up for debate. If we call her this she is Aria, not Arya or any other variations. Thanks!

I chose Mia, very simple & pretty & girly!
Mia Charlotte would be beautiful!

Mia Adelaide
Mia Addison
Mia Felicity
Mia Elizabeth
Mia Rosamund
Mia Allison
Mia Brielle
Mia Cassidy
Mia Caroline

I dislike the popularity of both Aria & Charlotte. Aria is NOT unique & original; it is fast rising on the charts. Charlotte is a beautiful classic but with the new princess is overdone.

I dislike how on baby name genie, Charlotte is now ruled out in the comments of every poll ’because the new princess is named Charlotte’. She’s just a baby! Charlotte is a gorgeous classic that was popular on this site before. This is a site for personal taste, not worrying about some new princess. Charlotte is still a name open for non-royal use! Lighten up, people!
I agree that Mia Charlotte is lovely.

Aria Rose
Aria Caitlin
Aria Elizabeth
Aria Sophie

Charlotte Alice
Charlotte Grace
Charlotte Louisa
Charlotte Sophia

Mia Rosalind
Mia Seren
Mia Isabel
Mia Rose

Good luck - all three options are gorgeous and age well xx

I voted for Mia. To me, Mia is feminine, yet strong and would not give her any stereotypical name walls that she would have to deal with.

Aria is no longer unique, but just has never seemed like a very pretty name to me. I am sorry!!

Charlotte is becoming very overused and definitely makes me think of an extreme girly girl. Girly girls are great and there is nothing wrong with them, but your daughter may not end up being too girly.

Aria Charlotte gmv.

I think that Mia is extra lovely in how simple it is. So many of the most common girl’s names at the moment (Isabella, Sophia, etc) are incredibly frilly which makes them sound silly to me. Mia makes a refreshing change - non-frilly, yet feminine, like Ada, my no.1 name.
Mia Rose, Mia Isabel, Mia Ruby, Mia Kate, Mia Lily, Mia Katherine, Mia Poppy, Mia Charlotte, Mia Alice.
Aria and Charlotte are perfectly nice but you can’t go wrong with Mia!
Good luck! X

I disagree with most of them here. Aria is the prettiest name ever. It’s simple but yet so beautiful! It’s not too much on the tongue. The way it’s spelt too.. perfect time a million. We were going to name our child Aria Felicia but it turned out to be a boy, so we went with Aiden Felix instead! :)

Seriously trust me on this one. Aria is the prettiest name we have come across.

Charlotte is way too been there done that kind of name. (I know 5 Charlottes excluding the princess if course. )

Mia is okay, very plain in my opinion.

Aria Felicia was our favorite. But of you want something a little more classic then Aria Rose, Aria Marilyn and Aria Vivienne would be my suggestions

Aria because I think it’s trendy and sane (you should see the kind of names these days and the horrendous spellings) I also LOVE the way it’s spelt. Beautiful imo!
I really like the MN Raine.

Aria Raine would be my choice otherwise
Aria Cecilia
Aria Renée
Aria Delaney

People throw the word classic around too much.Charlotte is not a classic. It’s a vintage name that has happened to make a massive comeback so much so that it now feels overused and has lost it’s specialness.Yes,maybe 80-100 years ago it was incredibly popular and yes,it’s extremely popular again now but 15-20 years ago almost no one was using this name on babies. At that time most people would have said it was an old "grandma name".
That doesn’t make a classic.A name has to stay steadily at the top without ever fading from fashion to be a TRUE classic and very few girl’s names do that (perhaps Elizabeth,Sarah,K/Catherine and a few others)
Sorry-rant over.
Having said all that.I think both Aria and Mia are wonderful!
I slightly prefer Aria but think you can’t go wrong with either of those.

When I read your name choices, Aria Scarlett immediately popped in my head. My second choice would be Mia, but I think I would pair it with something more simple like Rose.

Charlotte is my favorite, but I really love Mia, too. Charlotte has nice sounds, is very feminine, and I really like the way the name looks when it’s written. It is a timeless classic. Charlotte Mia could work quite nicely as a first & middle name combination. Mia is short and sweet, definitely feminine, and pronounceable in many different languages. I love it, too. Mia Charlotte also works. Aria sounds so trendy. It is one of those names that will sound tired and probably a little silly ten years down the road. Here are some other middle name ideas for Charlotte and Mia.

Charlotte Rae
Charlotte Delaney
Charlotte Renee
Charlotte Lauren
Charlotte Jacqueline

Mia Catherine
Mia Victoria
Mia Lorraine
Mia Charlotte
Mia Carlotta
Mia Caroline
Mia Rhiannon

I’m kind of chuckling over two comments gushing over the name Aria and stating that they really like the way the name is spelled. People, it’s a common noun: a·ri·a ˈärēə
noun, MUSIC: ’a long, accompanied song for a solo voice, typically one in an opera or oratorio.’ How ELSE would you spell it?

Not a fan of Aria. It sounds like the parents searched desperately for a unique name and pulled out something ugly and not that uncommon but went for it. It just sounds too ’try-hard’ and trendy.
I LOVE Mia and Charlotte though! Both so pretty and girly.
