Anna. I don’t like the h. I think it looks weird and she would have to tell everyone there is a h on the end. Such a needless hassle.

I prefer just Anna; Anna Jean is pretty and simple.
Ana is pronounced different than Anna.

People spell Hannah with an "h" on the end because it is Hebrew / biblical. People spell Anna without an "h" because it is from other cultures (Italian, German, etc.) It isn’t a question of fashion or whimsy. There are cultural reasons for the spellings.

That said, there are no laws / rules and you can spell your child’s name any way you want to. Just know that most of us are aware of the cultural references and you may get some odd looks (or thoughts like, "Doesn’t she know how to spell?") when you spell your child’s name. It’s up to you. Oh, and it will be easier for your child to spell it the conventional way. Good luck! :0)

I think Annah looks complicated. Hannah and Anna are the conventional spellings and that will make her life so much easier.

Annah looks like you forgot a letter. Just stick with Anna.
